Foreclosure:
If you know anyone who faces foreclosure and has pets, and is worried about what to do with their pets, please refer them here: http://nopawsleftbehind.org/paws/
The Safety Net Program via AC&C also does great work in aiding people with supplies and vet care and/or actual financial assistance so they can keep their pet, if their reasoning for turning it over to AC&C is financially based: http://www.nycacc.org/safetynet.htm
Animal Photography:
Elizabeth P. Rovere, brought up in Rhinebeck, New York, started her photography career when her father gave her a Brownie camera for her 12th birthday. Elizabeth, already a talented photographer, won 1st prize in the 1995 Ritz Camera competition for her portrait of a goose, “Stepping Out.”
Profoundly influenced by her mother’s gentleness and compassion for animals, Elizabeth has developed an insight into and respect for animals that her photographs clearly reflect. Through extraordinary timing and a relaxed, companionable relationship with her subjects, Elizabeth receives a range of moods, gestures and theatrics that give us a greater appreciation of the heart and soul of the animal kingdom.
Elizabeth continues to sell her animal photographs and greeting cards and has branched out into the area of child photography, a natural extension. She captures children’s moods and personalities with a gentle, relaxed sensitivity and appreciation for their desire to communicate.
